I went there for breakfast and felt like I had left the city for a short moment. The clement weather did help as the sun was shining through the window that morning, but I definitely have to credit the peppy decoration for taking me away from the grey cobbled streets that led to the cafe (don't get me wrong, I love the Old Port). The service was great, and I felt welcome from the second I stepped in. The food, however, not so much. I ordered the matcha croissant and thought I'd try the matcha latte too (fight me). I loved the latte, I don't get to enjoy the naturally bitter taste of matcha often as it is usually overpowered by a heavy dose of sugar in everything sold here, but not this time. I was really disappointed by the croissant. The croissant itself was alright, but the overly rich cream found inside sat in my stomach for the rest of the morning. I do not recommend it. I'll definitely come back to try their coffee and açai bowls though, the evil matcha croissant will not defeat me (and my appetite).
