I honestly never thought I'd be a homeowner again. Not only do I have a bankruptcy on my credit report, but a foreclosure of a house from a nasty divorce that left me at rock bottom. When my son and I moved to AZ, I worked with several loan officers trying get my fresh start in life. I had been working on my credit and had heard that I could still get a VA loan with a bankruptcy on my credit. I thought for sure with 13 years of Army service, lenders would jump at the chance to help, but that wasn't the case. I got ignored on more than one occasion over a span of a year, because of my income, credit, etc... no one even took me seriously. My realtor then suggested I call Jeremy House. I was really about to give up and just find a cheaper place to rent, but when Peter Marthaler from The House Team I contacted me, he insisted that he could help. I was skeptical at first, but then he asked me if I knew about a mistake on my credit report. I had no idea what he was talking about because I had been checking credit karma, but he was right! He thought it might be a long shot but ordered something called a credit rescore in an attempt to fix the error that was bringing my score down. No other lender had even told me that one of the credit bureau's was reporting incorrectly. It took a few months but he was able to pre-approve me for a VA loan. Pete and the rest of the House Team were super nice and helpful walking me through every step I needed to take, and responded to any questions I had in a timely manner. I really can't express what if feels like to be sitting in a house that I actually own! It's not like a tiny little shack either, it's 3900 sq feet and it's absolutely beautiful and perfect and it's MINE! I couldn't have done it with out the help of Peter, and Jackie, and Danielle, and Alexa and everyone at Prime Lending who seem to work around the clock to make dreams come true.
