Firstly, this place isn't for thrifty or poor folks. Is it expensive? Yes. It is overpriced? Yes.
As for the quality? Simply put, the price isn't representative of the price. While there are more prepared food options than, say, Pusateri's, the quality the same. The salad dressings are oily. Aside from lettuce, the vegetables in the salads are scarce.
I still shop here but only sometimes and only when I want to pick up a few things. Otherwise, I let the rich and retired white folks in the neighbourhood buy their dinners. That's who this store is for: rich old people who still want a decent meal but can't or don't want to cook it themselves.
