I walked into this place really hungry and all I could feel were my eyes burning almost tearing. Whatever they had cooking in the kitchen, perhaps onions made it unpleasant. I ordered chicken thighs rice and beans, and a guava cheese pastry. I couldn't stand the burning eyes trauma any longer and waited outside by the patio area until my food was ready. Very disappointing, I expected several whole chicken thighs and I got boneless skinless dry chicken. The flavor tasted like charred tasteless chicken and I had to request ketchup just to flavor it up a little. The rice and beans were ok, but not very tasty. Had it not been for the dessert, this place would have flopped! I truly did enjoy the guava cheese pastry. The moist and flaky pastry with guava and cheese filling was delicious and tasty. Overall, the place had a nice ambiance and the service was excellent. The air quality and venting needs a makeover to ensure customers truly dine in, not outside.
