I give South Blvd 5 stars!! Let me tell you why...First, when I originally moved in, (it will be 2 years in August) I was charged an additional fee to live upstairs. I felt like this was an unnecessary expense especially because I did not want to live upstairs, but at the time that I was moving in a 2 bedroom downstairs unit was unavailable. One day when I went into the office to see if a 3 bedroom was available I happened to mention that I hated paying extra for an upstairs unit that I really didn't want in the first place. Since, South Blvd was bought out they deducted that extra fee mentioning to me that they do not charge a fee to live upstairs unlike the previous owners. Bernadette and Antonio were quick to offer other suggestions and options about moving into a 3 bedroom apartment or a 2 bedroom downstairs unit if I would like in order to remedy the issue. I decided that I was not willing to move. The physical move would be more of a hassle for me than to just stay put in my happy little home. Second, the apartment complex is a nice looking complex in comparison to others. The pool area, gym, and e-lounge are kept very clean and maintained. It is also a nice added touch that they provide coffee or water and a towel while you workout. Unfortunately, some tenants take advantage of this generosity and "grocery shop" for water. It is quite ridiculous. Honestly, if I was the owner of South Blvd and I witnessed tenants sneaking waters or towels into their bags I would have cancelled those privileges a long time ago. Of course, the owner cannot do that because that is one of the wonderful perks that turned me onto South Blvd and makes South Blvd different than other properties. Third, The apartment is upgraded with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and walk-in closets. These are considered a plus in my book. Some tenants may complain about the walls being thin and being able to hear your neighbors. This may be true, but you have to realize that this is what comes with apartment style living. Fourth, the property is gated and has security wandering the grounds in the evenings. This helps my sanity to know that someone is there and is keeping their eyes open for any unwanted circumstances that may arise. If they can get some people to drive slower in the complex...that would definitely be better.
Fifth and lastly, the staff is very professional, helpful, and on the ball. I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with Bernadette, Antonio, Nathan, Adam, Edward, Greg, and I think his name is Rob (??) on various occasions. For instance, I had my ceiling fan motor go out and Bernadette quickly put in a work order for me and Edward and Greg replaced it fast and efficiently. Another time, I asked for some touch up paint and ran into one of the maintenance supervisors while working on grounds. He stopped what he was doing and went and grabbed some touch up paint for me. (Rob?? I think??) I also believe that it's important when the staff knows who their tenants are. When I workout in the gym the staff will wave to me or say hello by name. I believe that this is a very important quality because it shows that the staff cares. Also, another plus that shows that the staff goes the extra mile...the above mentioned have signed and accepted a plethora of UPS and Fed Ex packages for me. Antonio has even exceeded the call of duty by phoning me and informing me that my packages have arrived when he was aware that I was openly expecting a delivery. South Blvd is a wonderful place to live. I have had many positive experiences with my dealings with staff and management. Just remember to be kind and respectful when approaching the South Blvd Team...They are here to help.
