I came two weeks ago to get gel nails, and they did a fine job. There were a couple imperfections, but I was ok with it. They lasted about 10 days with regular wear and tear. Then they started to chip and interestingly started to peel from near the nail beds.
I came back today to get them off. I called and asked if I could come in at a certain time and they just told me to come in any time as a walk-in and they would see me right away. I came at 3:20 pm (they close at 4), and they were pretty busy with pedicures. One of the ladies asked if I could wait, and I said sure. Little did I know that I would be waiting 45 minutes! Through that wait time the lady kept looking at me but never told me it would be a few more minutes or anything. I was probably more patient than most, but the last straw was when two more women came in to get their toes and nails done and they seated them right away! I then called Fancy Nails, and they told me they would be able to see me without a wait. I got up and left, and the lady just looked at me and didn't say a word.
The reason I think that wait time is ridiculous is because taking the gel nails off takes 5 min of their time to put the cotton and foil on, 15 min of waiting, and then 5 min more of scraping the polish off. That could certainly have been done during one of the pedicures. I also thought it was rude that the lady who told me to wait didn't check on me again.
