Finding this hotel in downtown Champaign was a pleasant surprise. The downtown area has undergone renovation and there are now nice restaurants and bars within an easy walk from the hotel. The hotel is centrally located and easy to find.
The room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was attentive and did a good job cleaning the room. The bathroom is standard hotel size and basic but toiletries were sparse. The bed was comfortable but the pillows leaved something to be desired. There were not pillow options and this made sleeping soundly an issue.
The public areas of the hotel were maintained well. There is a complimentary breakfast with the usual offerings for this type of service. Overall it was above average and seating was plentiful.
Parking is very easy. This hotel had the foresight to include an easy access parking garage attached to the hotel. It is self service but easy to navigate.
The biggest disappointment for the hotel were the elevators. There are only two and they are slow. We waited frequently for an elevator.
All in all, a pleasant stay except for the slow elevators. I would stay at this location again. One and a half thumbs up!
