Gandhi exceeded my expectations many times over and delivered a flawless dining experience last night. To begin with, the ambiance is total class. White tablecloths and off-white walls, tastefully sparing much of the overdone decor found at most other Indian restaurants. Nice dim lighting. The waitstaff are some of the best ever. They are well-staffed and they execute a great rotating system of attending to whatever is needed wherever, but without the confusion. Their timing and attentiveness in service was absolutely perfect. Bonus points for welcoming my four year-old daughter with a comped mango lassi. Food- the tandoori chicken was the best I've ever eaten, period. Great flavoring, so juicy, and cooked to perfection. Comes with a nice salad. Killer lamb vindaloo. So good. Nice garlic naan as well. We finished with a frozen mango sorbet type of dessert. Really awesome and I loved the texture. Go to Gandhi next time you're in Montreal. It is unforgettable.
