I booked through orbitz and came here at 0500 5/7/2018. Ghost town, and I was the only one in line. Greeted by a guy who processed my transaction. It was a lackluster interaction, but really, who expects bubbly people at 0500. He told me I'd get a Jeep Patriot, on orbitz it said I would get a ford escape or similar. So I thought okay, I don't know much about jeep but it should be the same cargo room.
I was wrong. It was a penalty box, and I'm not a claustrophobic person but this car made me claustrophobic. I was gonna spend 9 hrs with it all the way to SFO +3 more days so I was not digging it at all. But I told myself to suck it up, and drove home (5 minutes away)
Called Avis at around midnight 5/8/2018 still dreading my penalty box; and immediately Karlie took care of me and helped solve my problem, I'm not going to say "how" for fear of people using this review against her or her co-workers, but it was taken care of in a 5-star fashion. Karlie had great communication skills and I immediately felt taken care of. I feel that whatever rental car company she works for, she will make them loads of money and make customers happy, not even exaggerating. I got off work at 4 am but she was off, but she passed the torch to another co-worker who processed me not as warmly, but who cares, the problem was resolved.
