Here's something I'll bet you didn't know: Canada is the world's #1 producer of mustard. 90% of the world's mustard seeds are grown right here. Chances are if you're a mustard lover, you already know about Kozlik's stand in St. Lawrence Market. It's usually the stand that has the biggest hordes of unruly samplers crowding around it. They have over 25 types of mustard and I really wish they'd come out with a sampler pack because I don't need ten types of mustard in 250mL quantities. They constantly have a sizzling pan of peameal bacon going that you can grip with toothpicks and dip into the various mustard sampler tins. I recently picked up four jars of mustard - some for myself and others for a special friend™ - and am really pleased with the sharp and tangy quality of the ones I picked: Amazing Maple, Honey Garlic, Dijon By Anton and German. TIP: if you have the luxury of working from home or have a flexible schedule, avoid this place on Saturdays. It's just mayhem. Easily one of the busiest attractions in all of St. Lawrence Market. Closed Sundays & Mondays.
