I had a pool guy come to my home, he told the customer service rep Jane that my pool was leaking, she quoted me $85+parts to repair it. It was winter then I didn't find the need to do it right then but a few months later as it began warming up, my husband and I decided it was a good idea. The new pool guy didn't even realize the leak, I had to point it out to him, he said, "oh I had no idea." he finished putting chemicals in and left. I called Jane to inform her we were now ready to move forward and all of a sudden I need a new pump and filter for 3k! She turned off my service stating there was no amount of chemicals they could put in to make a difference until those items were done. I used another pool company to come out and look and they indicated that my filter was brand new, we just needed to fix the leak around the pipes and the pump needed a new part, not a new pump all together. Anyhow, the 3k they wanted to charge me ended up costing me $510.00 I then called Splish Splash back to inform them they can restart my chemical service and Jane was grilling me about the work done. She wanted to know if it were brand new, I said, "what is the difference if it is new or not, if it is running like it is brand new?" Her response was that she has a "sticky note" from her pool guy indicating things needed to be completely replaced. SO naturally I asked how he would know, if he hadn't come back to my home to look and the last time he was here he didn't even realize it was leaking. Anyhow, I got so upset that I ended up hanging up. I had to revise my review because my previous review is not an accurate depiction of the service i have received over a five year period and it's not fair to have great service for nearly five years and rate poorly because of one bad experience. I was having a rough day and was much more harsh on my review than splish splash deserves. Yes the above situation did take place and it did give me a very poor satisfaction with the service but again prior to today i have had nothing but excellent service with Splish Splash
