I know you wonder why?! I travel over 100k year on United. All coach. Some trips to Asia and South America have 12-14 hour segments. In coach. Never have I been treated poorly.
What I can say is United treats safety first. Hey, what do you want: fly in a storm, short handed or with a crazy passenger? I say no thank you.
United makes travel affordable, safe and reliable. My company can't afford to pay for the high end airlines with the first class experience and neither can most travelers. So to me what they do is short of amazing. Consider the volume of people, the unpredictability of weather and the fact, the fact, that airplanes are made of parts that wear, crack and fail. Didn't mean to scare you but through all that I get to my destinations 99% of the time and on time. To me that is amazing.
