Both used to be abandoned lots lovingly brought to usage.
Some pretty nifty signs from the Stardust, Sassy's, Lady Luck, and Cesear's!
There's also a giant skull that you can see from google maps. It's their landmark!
Some things to note:
x tours are done by volunteers
x professional photography requires a permit
x they provide you with water
x 1 hr tour -- bring good shoes
x wear close toed shoes
x parking is across the street (free)
x no bathrooms on tour
x book in advance!!!
x they have had many movie shoots here
x the Moulin Rouge sign currently spells "in love" but they will change it come next year (many wedding photogs use this sign)
x bring a hat hat hat!!
They plan to make this a real museum next year, replete with a lobby
and admission gate. NEATO!
