Gigi cupcakes has always been my go to location for cupcakes and my custom cakes. This past Saturday- I picked up my 2 tier cakes decorated in Dory theme.
It was perfect and I was so excited.
Yet I had concerns when I walked I the cake was sitting on counter. I was a big surprised, but paid $137 for my cake and off I went. I drove less then 8 minutes home in a perfectly air conditioned car - holding the cake perfectly flat and when I walked it inside my house, and re looked at the cake 8 minutes later it had completely fell. So upset. I called back the store to ask if there was anything they could do and the girl said the store manager would call me. So I waited. Called a second time and finally the store manger called me. Basically saying once the cake leaves the store there is nothing that they could do for me and they do not refrigerate there cake. I was pretty shocked as the entire cake was made of icing with very a few fondant accent pieces.
I tried to send her pictures via text message to show her how the cake had fallen in and all she said was to report any issues towards the store.
My husband and I tried so you fix the cake so we could present it at my daughter's birthday party. I also followed up with the store manager on Monday morning to try to salvage the relationship and see if there was any kind of conversation we could have to discuss the cake. She was very rude and wanted nothing to do with the conversation and said the owners will give me a call. I am still waiting on my call.
