I stayed here last weekend and was quite surprised by this place but not in a good way. I know where the Travelodge sits on the hierarchy of quality hotels but after staying at this location I felt as if this brand dropped a few spots on that list. The check in process wasn't terrible but they did require the additional $100 in case you trash the room. When I got to my room I was shocked at the size of it. I didn't need anything big or fancy but the thing was tiny. Worse yet was the bed which was as comfortable as the stained carpet probably was to sleep on. The unit was clean and they offered decent bathroom products along with an in room coffee maker. I was out with friends quite late and got back to my room to hear the people next to me just having a normal conversation but I could hear every word they were saying through the paper thin walls. I checked out easily and left town wondering if Travelodge's head office knows what they have in this downtown property in one of the busiest tourism cities in North America. A big let down.
