As part of my birthday extravaganza, I was led to OMG Baked Goodness for a celebratory birthday cupcake and maybe some cookies.
Upon arrival, to my disappointment, all cupcakes were chocolate (I know, I'm weird, I don't enjoy chocolate cupcakes) the staff member tried to entice me by giving me a small sample of the vegan chocolate cupcake but to no avail.
However, they did have a delicious Lemon Poppy Seed Angel Food Cake which was probably one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Pun intended, it was super moist, the lemon drizzle was mouthwatering and delicious! Definitely a great birthday cake-lette.
Unfortunately the lavender shortbread just tasted like a heavy shortbread cookie, the lavender flavour was almost absent. Despite the quality of the Angel Food cake, the disappointing shortbread just keeps this review from being a five. Maybe next time :)
