We live locally and I took my daughter there overnight for her birthday; I was reluctant after reading some of the Yelp reviews, but the price was right, and she wanted to shop at Aurora Farms. We were pleasantly surprised. Everyone was kind and accommodating. We each had 2 spa treatments, including mine which I bought on Groupon. They easily took that coupon, and we were both treated personally and kindly, and the treatments were a good as anywhere I have been. Dinner and breakfast were included in the $140 hotel package we bought, as was a discount on services. Meals were (too) big, but wonderful. We were greeted coming and going, escorted to our rooms, to dining room. Yes, it's rustic and the building is old, but it was clean. Yes, there are creaky old stairs to the hotel rooms. But is was very clean, and the rooms had luxurious sheets/pillows/spa bathtub. More importantly, the staff was gracious and personable and quick to respond. If you want glitz and glamour and a hard-sell on all the products used, it's not for you.
