Walked in here randomly after Sunday brunch in the neighbourhood. Okay, perhaps it wasn't random. I'm strangely magnetically attracted to solid wood furniture stores. The more rustic, the better!
Unfortunately, I have zero furniture needs right now. Thankfully, my brunch date did! While the majority of their tables are made from reclaimed pieces, they do have a few pieces that are not. The reclaimed pieces, while super cool, don't really allow for much variation in sizes or flexibility with extensions, understandably. There happened to be one table on display that went from 36" x 60" all the way to 36" x 96". With 3 separate center extensions, this table would work a small condo and potentially be used in a bigger house. And seeing as it was solid maple, it is built to last a lifetime. Winner!
My favourite part about this store, besides the cool rustic / industrial designs and the fact that it's all solid wood, was the price! Having done a lot of shopping specifically for solid wood furniture, I found that Kimberley Jackson's prices were incredibly good. Added bonus for buying a floor model - we got a fantastic deal.
I even met the owner, Jack, who is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I rarely meet people who know more than me about solid wood furniture, so I was very impressed. Seriously - PM if you have any questions!
