I recently visited the Mesa AAA shop for the first time. I had been using the West Chandler shop for years with complete satisfaction. However the Mesa shop is closer to my house so I decided to give it a try. I asked them to perform an oil change and to look at the power steering fluid because the handling has been stiff for a few weeks. the customer service representative looked under the hood and suggested a power steering flush. I agreed to this service. After waiting a while the customer service representative informed me that the power steering pump is leaking and needs to be replaced. I told the representative not to perform the flush because I would have this done when I have the power steering pump replaced in a few weeks. Just top off the power steering fluid and I'll be on my way. The representative agreed to this. After waiting a while longer the representative came back and said that they went ahead and did the power steering flush. He stated that upon further review the pump was actually fine and they could not determine what was leaking. He told me that if I took my car to have the engine cleaned,(at another shop) they could determine what was leaking. Whatever was leaking was black and power steering fluid is red. now it is a week later and my power steering is getting tight again and there is red fluid on my garage floor. I will be going back to the Chandler West location.
