Just had the pleasure of dining at Del Frisco's after reading several reviews. The atmosphere and surroundings were pleasant - dark wood everywhere. The restaurant consists of one main dining room with a bar and multiple side rooms to accommodate parties of any size. The night we were there, they had a jazz pianist that could of headlined anywhere - playing wonderfully in the background. The staff and service were top notch. We could not have had a better server in Tony. He was very personable and adequate in explaining the menu. The whole time we were there, he was always checking to see if everything was okay without being overbearing. After we finished our meal and engaging in friendly conversation, he offered to get us anything else (on his dime - this being our first visit to the restaurant). We declined but thanked him very much. What class! As for the food, we started with the shrimp sampler and crabcake. Six jumbo shrimp with 3 different sauces - good. The crabcake was good size with practically all lump crab meat - excellent. I ordered the Carpetbagger which was a 10 oz ribeye served with potatoes - very good. My partner ordered the filet, also very good. When they bring your steaks to the table, they ask that you cut into the meat to be sure it's the way you like it. We also ordered a side of mac and cheese - a little too al dente and dry for me. I would definitely add Del Frisco's to the list of must returns when in Vegas.
