I signed up two weeks ago and cancelled my membership already. I've had gym memberships in several states and cities, both private places and universities. This gym is the worst I've seen. It is cheap, but I would pay over twice as much for a better place. Here are the problems I've had.
1) always crowded. Virtually impossible to use free weights.
2) poorly maintained. Weights strewn everywhere.
3) huge waste of resources. No towels are available so u have to use paper towels. The dispensers are often empty.
4) absolutely disgustingly filthy. Nobody cleans or wipe downs anything. Ever. Gross. Neither customers or staff. Wadded up paper towels and plastic water bottles everywhere. I've never seen anything like it.
5) too many asu students
6) patrons are unmanaged and have poor gym etiquette. You will choke on the ocean pouring from all the leaky douche bags.
7) staff calling me or setting up training appointments without me making them. This has happened twice now.
8) class instructors not showing up for classes
9) horrible parking
10) shopping center sucks
There are probably more reasons. I would pay much more for a better gym.
