I had a similar experience to several of the reviews already posted (cancelled appointments, rescheduling issues, problems with relaxation of salon). I too purchased a Groupon deal, I mean who could pass up a 1 hour massage, 30 min facial and pedicure for $69? I knew it sounded too good to be true..
I first made my appointment for 9/14 and when I came in, I was told my appointment was never on record. I remembered the guy's voice who I had spoken with to make the initial appointment and talked with him about my confusion for the appointment never being on record. He remembered me and offered me 50% off a service. That sounded great until I realized that all of their massages are already 50% off and their prices are the "lowest in town". So, I wonder if that's even really a compensation, me thinks not! So, I was pretty much turned away as the receptionist told me he had his staff go on a break since there was no appointment in the books. He said he could try calling them to come back, since I was already there, and I could wait in the media room. I waited a grand total of 5 minutes and then realized it was a waste of my time. Again, I re-scheduled for 9/20. I called on the morning of 9/20 to confirm my appointment and was left recording a voicemail. When nobody returned my call after almost 2 hours, I called back and was greeted with the same male who took my previous appointment. When I called to ask what time my appointment was, he said there was no record of my appointment for that day. He told me it was scheduled for a date in October, which I knew was complete bogus!! At this point, I'm pretty peeved and ask the guy if he remembers me from the previous Friday, how I made the appointment with him IN PERSON...how do they not have it on record?!?! He doesn't even apologize but schedules me for the same day. I don't know if he's just the receptionist or the owner but really feel the business is suffering because of him.
I get to the salon and as I walk in, the male receptionist says he now remembers me. I decide not to give a sly remark back and was left filling out paperwork. From this point on, I would love to give my experience 4 or 5 stars because my massage and facial were great!! The salon is really small and you can hear the chatter from the front of the salon into the massage room so that part wasn't super relaxing. Plus, it was a little warm in the room so that didn't help either. But, my massage therapist was very sweet and professional and gave a great massage! My facial was also very nice and probably the best part of my visit. This was my second time getting a facial ever in my life, the first one being nothing great, so I wasn't expecting much. If I had to come back to this salon, I would definitely return for a facial! I finished my appointment with the pedicure and was really disappointed with the lady who performed the pedicure. She took a couple breaks in between my pedicure (one to talk on the phone and the other to smoke). I was super relaxed at this point from my other services and didn't really care but thought that was unprofessional. The pedicure itself didn't even last 20 minutes...there was no foot or heal scrub and barely a massage...the best things about a pedicure!! I also didn't like the fact the pedicure stands are right when you walk into the salon, again not providing a lot of relaxation. The lady also talked to me about really weird things, including the fact that I had pretty feet and should get paid for people to kiss and hug them...ummm creepy!!
I will say I am glad I used my Groupon and did enjoy the massage and facial. But, I really don't see myself ever stepping foot in here again, even with the 50% off card I recieved. I had trouble finding the place as well, just as a tip, it's right behind the Good Egg restaurant just off baseline and mill ave. Overall, most of the staff were unprofessional, place is very small and trouble with scheduling really put a bad taste in my mouth initially.
I would stay far far away from here...
