Yesterday I went online to make an appointment and was pleased to get in today for a mammogram. It's never a fun process and I had put off making the appointment because like most women, who really wants to get a mammogram??? Anyway it was nice to get in so quickly - I didn't have time to worry about what I might find out!
This morning I showed up the requested 15 minutes early to check in for my 9:30 appointment. The staff had my paperwork ready to go and I was escorted back for my appointment at exactly 9:30, my scheduled time, which RARELY happens at a medical facility!!
My technician was Lori and she was fantastic. She was so friendly and made me feel really comfortable given what was happening. In addition, Lori was incredibly professional and proficient - the whole process took less than 10 minutes. Aftward she asked if I'd like to wait for my initial results, which would take about 20 minutes. I appreciated the offer to wait instead of getting sent home to worry about what I would hear in two days time...
Thankfully my results are great - everything is normal. In fact, it didn't even take the full 20 minutes to get my initial results - I was home in under an hour!
