Last weekend, my 11 year-old GE refrigerator warmed to room temp while the freezer portion retained an appropriate temperature. This problem occurred 5 years ago so I thought it might again be the computer board. I sent out Yelp quote requests to 4 companies on a Sunday, including the one I had previously used for repair. I expected nothing from anyone until Monday, but Andy, the owner of Valleywide Appliances sent a quick response. By Yelp and text we established a possible course of action and an appointment for the following day. Andy's son, Anthony, came early and spent 2 hours working on the fridge. He was professional, friendly, informative, and completely persistent regarding the source of the issue. The problem was a burned out computer board, but unlike the previous technician 5 years ago, Anthony defrosted the freezer and checked multiple components before he was satisfied that the computer board replacement would solve the problem. Anthony even vacuumed behind the refrigerator! I was shocked when I saw the bill---more than a third less than the cost had been 5 years previously! Thank you, Andy and Anthony, for your work ethic and for restoring belief in providing service with integrity!
