Although I am no longer using KC Animal Hospital, yesterday my dog Rufus started choking on a bone when I wasn't home. My teenaged daughter, in a total panic, drove Rufus to KC Animal Hospital because it was the only vet she knew, and by this time, the dog was foaming at the mouth. Apparently, on the ride over, Rufus was finally able to expel the bone on his own, but one of the newer veterinarians still gave him the once over to reassure us that he was fine. KC Animal Hospital didn't charge me, and the ladies behind the reception desk were sympathetic and helpful as always. Today, Dr. Pirotte called me to check on Rufus' status. While I still stand by my prior review (and I adore my new vet, Dr. Jeff Brown at Scottsdale Ranch), I was very touched by how KC took care of us during this upsetting and stressful time, so on further reflection, I'm giving them an additional star.
