I've been to Osteria twice now. Once to grab a sandwich for lunch, and then to get a takeout pizza for dinner. I've really hoped this place would be good as I live across the street. My experience has been mixed. Sandwich was a very good Italian deli sandwich. Pizza was mediocre though. While the pizza had the unintended positive effect of reminding me of free pizza consumed when I was in grad school in NYC that's not the best sign of quality. Not bad but could be better.
There's a lot of potential for Osteria and I hope they succeed. Maybe a weekend brunch would be a good addition? And make pizza less like basic takeout pizza and more "fancy" (tasty too).
