This place exceeded any and all expectations I had. Tucked away in a strip mall off Hayden road this little place looks so unassuming that you would never expect it to house some of the best donuts I've had in Tempe. Props to the lovely lady working behind the counter who had to listen to me as I geeked out going on and on about how much I loveee "specialty" donuts and how long I've been waiting for a place like this to open up in Tempe. She informed me that they have only been open for about 4 months and I am praying that they stay in business. The close at 2pm and I suppose I should be grateful because honestly I would be here everyday after work if they were open later. Down to the good stuff: I bought 6 of their "fancy" donuts and it came out to $12 including tip. Fruity pebbles, maple bacon, salted caramel, creme brulee, smore and red velvet. My recommendations would have to be maple bacon or salted caramel. Both are sweet and savory and taste like fall. Go go go to the Local Donut and prepare to have your mind blown by donut deliciousness.
