We ordered a dining room table from Casalife and had a terrible customer service experience. As is typical for any delivery they gave a window for delivery from 10 am - 2 pm, which required me to stay home from work to receive the product. The issue started when the table arrived for delivery at 2:30 pm (30 minutes late) but the hardware (bolts to attach the legs) was missing. I understand this happens from time-to-time and really isn't Casalife's fault but the way they handled the issue is what I have a problem with. The delivery guys noticed the missing hardware and called the warehouse. I was told someone would drop off the missing parts by 5:30 pm. Given that we had dinner guests due to arrive at 6 pm, this could have been fine. Unfortunately this didn't go as planned and the guy with the missing bolts didn't show up 7:30 pm. Since the table was left in the front entrance / living room to our small house, our guests had to walk over it to get in our house and it was blocking our kid's play area. A couple of times the kids actually tripped over it. It was too heavy to move or lean up against the wall safely and we didn't want to put it against our radiator. This put a damper on the fun during the dinner party and our guests were surprised that Casalife would put us in that situation. Once the guy showed up with the bolts, he just handed them to me at the door and quickly left. To my surprised when my party guests and I tried to attach the legs to the table the bolts did not fit. They were just a bit too small to engage with the threads in the table. Given that it was now 8 pm, the stores were closed but I did have an email address of someone from the ordering department. I let them know we were having issues and they said someone would follow up with me tomorrow (Saturday). Well we wait until noon and given no follow-up started to email and call the stores (our only points of contact). Since it was Saturday, it was very difficult to get a hold of anyone except the store's sales people who offer nothing else but leaving voicemail messages for warehouse staff. Given that the table was blocking our entrance, living room, and my daughter's play area, we did not want to leave it where it was so we tried to communicate via email and further voicemails. Around 1 pm someone finally called us back suggesting we would have to wait until Monday to have someone come and look at the table and resolve the problem. At this point we became very frustrated with Casalife. Over the course of several phone calls we told them repeatedly we simply wanted the proper bolts to be provided or to have the table taken away. They kept insisting this was not possible until Monday but after we were persistent they managed to track down some bolts and had them couriered over to us. Well I guess it should have come as no surprised that even these bolts did not fit. It was now 5 pm and we had wasted an entire day calling back and forth trying to get this resolved. We insisted that they pick up their table until they can figure out what is going on with the bolts and again they told us this was not possible until Monday. Not wanting to wait until Monday or stay home from work again to wait for their delivery / pickup window, we had to insist they pick-up the table on the weekend. After several more phone calls and emails, they finally picked up the table around 6 pm and took it away after previously claiming it was impossible. What a relief but we are still not out of the woods since they were supposed to call me today (Monday) to discuss next steps. While the table looks nice I'm not so sure I want to deal with Casalife any further since they are were very reluctant assist with an obvious issue and routinely claimed the possible was impossible. If customer service is important to you, think twice about ordering from Casalife.
