I don't buy cupcakes often - for obvious reasons - but when I do, it's here. I've been to this Bake Shop twice now, first time was with a Groupon, and I was quite impressed both times! You don't feel hurried when making your selection which is a good thing 'cause I can be a bit indecisive.
The storefront itself is really nicely set-up. It has a boutique feel, as opposed to a café or bakery. All the baked goods are cleanly displayed on 1 side of the store. I think their turnover rate is fairly high which is definitely a good thing. And you cannot compare freshly baked goods with that chemically laced junk that you get at your local grocery store!
Larger cupcakes are ~$3/ea, same with the other baked goods like lemon squares - so nice 'n light...even though they're probably not, calorically! ;) Some cupcakes were better than others, but I don't remember which ones.
Thank God this place isn't too close from home 'cause my waistline would be in trouble!
