I went in on Saturday for an appointment with Angel. We had agreed on a price for an ombré and I paid that price... However, I did not receive an ombré. Everything was great at the start of the appointment. She was super sweet and made me feel comfortable (which is hard for me to find being an introvert). She asked if I wanted to do highlights or just do like the picture with a little more brown (which is what I communicated in the first place). I said just like the picture is perfect. We get going and I notice she doesn't use a toner... I think "okay well I'm not the professional so maybe I'm wrong" I wasn't wrong. Fast forward to the end of the appointment... she drys my hair and I see it's really blonde and not quite what I asked for but it seemed fine and I figured it was just me needing to get used to going from dark to blonde... so I said thank you, I paid, and I left. I went home and I was kind of looking at it and while really looking at it I noticed that it wasn't an ombré at all. It was that 1990s style chunky highlights. So I was really on the fence that night but when I woke up the next day I realized just how wrong it was. There was tons of brown all over and especially underneath and on the end. The blonde wasn't even at all. Some of it is brassy, some of it is light and pretty, and some of it is yellow. For the most part it's yellow and brassy. When I called the store to speak to a manager about either getting it fixed or a refund, they let me know that each station is rented and is up to the stylist's discretion. Great. Wish I knew that going into the appointment. I text Angel and she said she doesn't do refunds. So I ask what the next step is because I am unhappy and this isn't what I agreed to. She then proceeds to argue with me that this is EXACTLY what I had asked for. First she says I wanted the highlights and that's what I told her in the chair and when I tell her no it's not she says that I did receive an ombré. This is no ombré. I didn't expect any of this from her. It was completely blindsiding. She was so sweet in the beginning and now she is refusing to help fix her mess and blaming me for it after I CLEARLY communicated I wanted an ombré. If she couldn't give me what I wanted, I would have respected that had she told me beforehand. I have lost all respect for this woman. You cannot look at the pictures and honestly tell me I got what was promised.
