I hate to leave a mediocre review of a local place, since we live down the road. First time visiting Amico Chef, and it's clearly a fancy-type modern bakery, NOT AUTHENTIC ITALIAN. We went for pizza but the display was so decrepit with cold pizza squares, we didn't buy anything...We then spent over 2$ per cannoli, and they are 1.5 inches long at max, and not fresh at all . Spent 25+$ on 4 cannoli's and 4 cookies and my kids wouldn't eat it and every one laughed at me. Also, the items were dumped into a little paper bag rather than a box or anything decent, which is unfair and unpresentable for the price. IF you live in the area, there are other options. There are many, many more hardcore bakeries, very close on Marlee, Dufferin, Eglinton, Rogers, caledonia..I wont't name them...dont be fooled by hype when granny is watching.
