I used a Living Social deal with this place as well. They were easy to schedule, arrived on time, and were pretty pleasant. They tried to charge the additional cost for pretreatment as well, but after some negotiating, they threw that in "for free." They took 20 minutes to clean my entire apartment--2 bedroom, 2 bath, all carpet. When they left, the carpet was dirtier than when they came. I thought maybe it just looked that way while it dried (which took 2 days because of how poorly they did it). I rubbed a wet white rag on the floor to check my theory, and it came rag positively grey with dirt. Basically, they spread dirty water all over the house and didn't suction any of it up. Our carpet was essentially clean before--we try to get it cleaned every 6-8 months just to maintain it. It now needs another cleaning very soon. I contacted the owners and requested that they come out to redo it. He was very rude about it, claiming that because they had "thrown in" the pretreatment that they had done me a favor and that I had nothing to complain about. He sighed on the phone and said that it would be an enormous inconvenience but that they would come out and fix the problem (as though it was in my head). I scheduled a time for them to come back out but then felt so awkward about the whole interaction that I canceled and decided to go with another cleaning service and just pay again. I will not use this carpet company again and I would recommend that you do not either.
