I really don't understand the positive reviews for this place! It's not what one would expect for a "wine bar". We had happy hour food only and I'm glad we didn't waste our money on a meal. The place was empty on a Friday night. We had the four cheese "flatbread" which was not flatbread at all! It seriously was more like a frozen Red Baron pizza. It was a (horrible) round premade crust with a bland tomato sauce with cheddar and mozzarella on top and sprinkled with dried spice flakes. It looked like a pizza and tasted like a bad cheap pizza. Didn't complain because it was only $5 and if they think that is flatbread, then there is no point in complaining. The person next to us had a salad and it was all iceberg lettuce with cheap grocery store croutons - not a green item in it! My wine was old, it tasted like the bottle had been open for a week. The wine pour was very light compared to the regulars sitting at the bar. Their wine pours were much larger than mine. I really didnt want more of the wine anyway but need to mention that customers notice when your wine pours are not equal to all patrons. For $9 glass (happy hour $7) I expect better wine. My husband liked the Deschutes beer -we are from Bend ironically; -) Lastly, my husband and I were talking amongst ourselves calculating the tip (we were discussing how much 25% would be- but left less after this incident) and the owner buts in and says "Is something the matter?" Then proceeds to explain the bill to us like we're idiots. It was embarrassingly rude to point out the happy hour discounts in front of everyone at the bar as though we were concerned with the prices when we never asked her a thing! This was SO rude that it pushed us over the edge after the already bad experience and couldn't get out quick enough!
