I rarely go to Bubbletease for BBT simply because they don't have anything that's comparable to other BBT chains. My friends and I were walking along Dundas one weeknight and decided to grab a drink and this BBT place was the only option other than the super busy Chatime across the road. When we got there at 11pm, there was a line up to order. They really need to hire more people because 2 people (1 doing the drinks, the other doing the cashier + drinks) weren't enough. However, this wait bought me some time to peruse the menu in detail. They have a section for organic pure tea and others sections for things like slushies and coffee. Compared to other BBT chains, they don't really have much. I decided to find something that other BBT places don't have and that was the Cha Yen Thai Milk Tea. Actually, I was curious of the name and just wanted to see what it tasted like. I opted for soy milk (free of charge), 0% sugar and 0 toppings on it. While waiting, I saw that they use this "espresso" like machine to make my drink, which I find quite...different from other places. The taste was alright, I mean, of course sugar added to anything would definitely make things taste better,' but I wanted to try it 'au naturel'. It was good and it was refreshing I guess. The staff was nice and they were really accommodating. While waiting in the line, I noticed that they didn't mind explaining things to the customers and they were very patient. They did their job and made the drinks as fast as possible. Overall, I don't find any of the drinks special. I definitely wouldn't purposely go to Bubbletease if I crave for a BBT. However, that night my friends ordered the dark roasted oolong milk tea and they said it was good and so I might try that next time if I happened to be there again in the future.
