I found HomeMasters through Home Advisors, which I have decided is another useless outfit. Working with HomeMasters was exhausting. It took months to complete my bathroom remodel (I signed the contract and paid the downpayment July 14, 2017 and they didn't finish the job until the second week in January, 2018). I had to make numerous phone calls to get work done and take lots of time from my job to supervise their workers. The work is really poorly planned and managed. They take on more work than they can handle and their customers suffer for it. They also seem to have a large turnover. They use "handymen" off of Craigslist instead of skilled craftsmen for each phase of the work. They will send a worker who is expected to do everything, therefore, they do some things well and fail at others. The work was often not performed in a logical order or done poorly which caused a lot of rework. The granite counter had to be fabricated and installed THREE TIMES because of poor workmanship! Luckily the fabricator had to buy the new slab each time. I understand HomeMasters performs their own granite fabrication now so maybe that has improved. The final result looks very nice but they did not haul off all of their construction debris which was in their contract to do that. We will have to load it and take it to the dump ourselves. Also, the grout between the tiles used for the shower threshold is cracking already. They already fixed it once and it is cracking again. I would never work with HomeMasters again. The job they do seems to be a hit or a miss as far as schedule and workmanship according to these reviews. I suspect they make deals with customers who had a bad experience and ask them not to submit a bad review. It's bad for business.
