Worse manicure I've ever received. I saw a sign for a deal at Modern Nails, which was $20 for a gel manicure. I thought this was a steal especially considering the positive reviews for the salon. I went on my lunch break and was promptly assisted by a gentleman. He snipped a few cuticles, did a quick buff, and started slapping gel paint on my nails. The job was poor in so many ways. The color on the nails is uneven and has some areas where you can "see through" the color. There was no pushing down of the cuticle bed and what he did snip along the sides was minimal. Anyone who gets gel manicures knows if you don't do a proper job of trimming back the cuticles, the gel paint will come up as the nails grow. This is exactly what happened. My nails were done on Tuesday and were already chipping and peeling by Saturday. Additionally, no cuticle oil was put on the nail bed nor was any lotion put on my hands. Some, but not all, nail salons include a complimentary hand massage - as you would imagine, that didn't happen here either. I would have much rather paid the extra $10 at another salon like Beautiful Nails or Dilworth Nails to get a proper manicure instead of getting this "deal."
