I'm Irish, and kind of a big fan of Fish & Chips. So even though this is a British pub, I had to weigh in to say Six Pence, while not totally authentic, is about as good as any I've had in Charlotte. Also good is the Shepherd's Pie, and the Beef & Guinness. Appetizers are less compelling than the entrees. The bar area is separate from the restaurant, and pretty forgettable as a bar goes. Nothing really special at all there, including the couple of tiny TVs. I've been there with the family a bunch of times, and in general the food is pretty good. It's priced a little bit high, but they do have coupons. I forgot which days, but kids also eat free one or two days a week (definitely helpful on the budget).
