I've been to the NoDa version of this place twice and while it was good I have to say the 521 location is better. Our waitress was spot on and she took care of us the whole way. I almost let go of the steering wheel she was so good. Just as a preface...I smoke bbq at my house often and have eaten it all over the country, just look at my profile pic. I've actually stopped eating bbq unless it's a special occasion because so many places are let downs. This place isn't a let down so start driving now if you're considering. We started with the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno's which are money. I don't order straight up bbq anymore so I had the taco's. Well thought out and executed as I would do them. I had to do the hushpuppies and they were worth cheating with fried foods. My son did the brisket sammich, I tasted it and they did a good job on it. It was lunch time so I didn't order beer but they have a cool bar with tons of different beers. I may have to come back after 5 for some beers. I will go back when in the area and so should you...always good to have a legit bbq joint in the hood near me. Just an FYI my dad went here three days ago on my advice and did order the straight up ribs, pulled pork and brisket. He's into bbq too and said it was spot on.
