I spent an obscene amount of money on sketching and watercolour supplies this year, so I got well acquainted with Calgary's art supply shops. The new location isn't quite as convenient as Kensington was (for me), but it's easy to get to by Deerfoot or Blackfoot. It's close to IKEA and just on the north (i think) side of Deerfoot Meadows, by Humpty's Cafe. Supply-wise, you can find a lot here. From my perspective, they carry Daniel Smith, M. Graham, QOR and Winsor Newton watercolour paints - so that's great. Brush selection is quite good, but I feel it's more oriented to oil and acrylic painters. There are lots of sketchbooks and art paper, including Stillman and Birn, which are super hard to find, but really awesome. They have some other more obscure items like dip pen nibs and Iroshizuku fountain pen inks (of which i now have a collection) so you can find almost anything here. I found their prices to be on the higher end of the spectrum in Calgary. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, and the opening hours make it easy to get there after work, or on the weekend.
