A four-star airport with two-star security checkpoint. What really bugs me is when they have a rabble line that everybody is crowded into and then 4 or 5 TSA staff at the special (GOES/SENTRI) line and the really special (families with strollers, grandmas, service personnel and AMEX platinum cards) line and there is nobody in the special lanes. Why not channel the rabble through these when not in use? Meanwhile those 4-5 bored TSA guys are updating their facebook status.
Otherwise, Hopkins is a good airport - nice shopping and food, good gates, good bathrooms. I had a rare (yippee!!) hamburger and a great Rye of the Tiger India Pale Ale at the Great Lakes Brewery Pub. Way above standard airline food and service. Awesome craft beer selection.
