Thought I'd add my 2 cents. The container park is a fun outing if you're in the area, but as of now I wouldn't make a special trip there. The concept is cool but I really think they need more space. Walking around the entire area, including all three floors, MIGHT take 15 minutes. Which doesn't really encourage people to stay and browse. I spoke to one shop owner who said she wont be renewing her lease. She's just not making enough to cover rent. And with the minuscule sizes of the "shops" (think boarding house room), I can see why. Perhaps if they had some festivals here where the shop owners could put their merchandise out on tables it would help them a bit. But with how crowded the shops feel, if you are claustrophobic (or salesperson-ophobic), you don't really want to go into the shops. I think they're so small and the salespeople are so desperate that you feel like you'll be assaulted by them the moment you step in the door. So what happens? You don't (or at least I don't) go in. The playground is pretty cool. Theres a Huge treehouse and foam building blocks the kids enjoyed playing with. The praying mantis is interesting (though the sudden bursts of flame from its antennae terrified my four year old), but thats not enough to get me to come all the way downtown from hendertucky. The playground is also pretty spread out and if you have more than one child its a nightmare to keep track of them all. The bandstand is a nice idea but the bands can be LOUD and theres really not enough seating to encourage people to stay and listen. The only food i tried was the ice cream shop. That was quite frankly a nightmare. They fresh made ice cream for my son - sounds great right? Yeah, except it literally took them twenty minutes to make it! My other kids were done by the time he got his, and i was late getting back to the parking meter and got a parking ticket! That alone was enough to make me not ever want ice cream from there again. Get with it people. This is VEGAS. It is HOT. I do not want to wait twenty minutes for ice cream even if its hand made by Willy Wonka himself and given to me on a jewel encrusted platter made for Elvis by Tony Hsieh. Pre-make your handmade ice cream for Pete's sake! Yeah. Otherwise its an interesting little jaunt that could kill an hour or two. Four stars.
