I just started using Uber and thought it was great until last night. We were at Top Golf at the main entrance and I hired an Uber for myself, my wife, my kids and my Mother in law. I was pleased to see that the driver was only a minute away. As we waited I noticed that he seemed to have stopped moving several blocks away from Top Golf and then he turned around and went the opposite way. The time changes to 3 minutes and then to 5 minutes. He seemed to double back and then pulled into a parking lot on the strip which was at least a mile away. Then he went a different direction and I got a notice that the driver canceled the trip. At this point I was pissed but there were taxis at Top Golf so we jumped into a large one and we're on our way. I wouldn't have thought to review Uber until I checked my email this morning and they charged me $7.21 for the chance stating the driver waited for us and we didn't show. I still wouldn't have left a review but when I went to request a refund they would only give me credit and not my money back. What a racket! I wonder how many people nationally have been hyped like this?
