I took my cat Ellie here recently to get her spayed and her front paws declawed (before you judge the declaw, she was destroying the carpet of the apartment I'm living in and leaving horrid scratches on me trying to climb and the declaw ensured a forever home with me no matter what). Anyways, I called to make an appointment and was put on hold and forgotten about TWICE before actually getting to talk to someone. I should have just left it there, but I foolishly gave them the benefit of the doubt.
The day comes for surgery and I was told I'd hear from someone. I didn't...I was placed on another 25 minute hold and was just told that she did ok. I didn't hear from anyone from the clinic. I called several times and No one was ever there which was concerning. She stayed there for 4 days and came home with me, no antibiotics or pain meds. When I finally got her home, she seemed mopey and lethargic, and her spay site was very swollen and tender. but she was eating a little bit. The next day was worse, she couldn't get to her usual spot without me carrying her and she was eating almost nothing. Her scruff wasn't bouncing back like it should. I made an appointment to go back the next morning
I found out that Ellie had lost almost a pound in less than a week and that she was becoming dehydrated. You would think that they'd be checking that, but I guess they weren't. They sent me home with some things to help her eat with no avail. She got worse.
I called this morning and was told to call back when the vet got in, later to find out that he called in sick.
There was no attempt to get anyone to look at her and the staff seemed totally disinterested.
I was fortunate to be able to get into a much better vet shortly after and Ellie is hospitalized, but on her way to getting better no thanks to 4 Pets Clinic.
Do not send your pet here unless you want a botched spay. The price sounds good, but don't. Just don't.
