I'm quite fond of this quirky Eastern European/ Russian market. I find the staff quite charming and the food unique and intriguing. This is where I come for sheep feta, Coffee, beef piroshki, imported chocolates, top grade caviar, and Russian beer.
While the staff has always been wonderful to me, the other customers do tend to stare you down if you don't look like one of them. I guess they forget they are in America and not Moscow. :) I say...Ignore the stares, put on your thick skin (and a smile) and experience the delights of imported goodies. Maybe don't shop here around 5, because the long lines will drive you crazy.
