Where do I start, 06/04/2017 around 3:30 PM. When I arrived there were about 12 people in line and 2 desk clerks. .I ask one of my fellow travelers how long they had been waiting? One of the customers had already been with desk clerk #1 for over 10 minutes. While desk clerk#2 took over 10 ten minutes. At that time, I looked over my shoulder there were now 10 people behind me. Desk clerk#1 completed the 1st customer, then disappeared. While desk clerk#2 completed the reservation. And briefly disappeared for a couple of minutes. All the while all the customers are waiting and wondering what happen. I called Payless Car Rental (corporate), customer service rep said:" We can't do anything to help you. You'll have to discuss the wait and service level with the Las Vegas manager." I mention her response is a poor reflection of Payless Car Rental. Back to waiting, then 3 desk clerks appeared and processed their reservations. Then disappeared again. Then one appeared, then a second clerk. A small car rental competitor next to Payless had cars available at competitive rates. I took another look of customers behind me; was now over 30 people in line! Then it was my turn. Here's what happen: they didn't have a mid -size car for me. I was also told my other customers they had been told by Payless staff, no cars are available and need to be clean them. What they offer was Jeep Cherokee, that was more expensive. After getting the keys none of the Payless staff offered to share information about using Bluetooth. This is a problem with all car rental companies. Anyway, I took pictures of cars sitting at Payless, yes there were mid-size, full size, luxury models. STAY AWAY! PAYLESS IS AN EMBARRASSMENT, DOESN'T DESERVE US TRAVELERS BUSINESS.
