If Pirates of Caribbean at Disneyland cranked up the music, started cocktail service and put more focus on staff showing cleavage, it would probably really irritate a lot of moms. The answer to the problem is Golden Tiki. The place is as fun and themed and as carefully planned and executed as can be. There are tons of props, delicious drinks and a mish mash crowd of locals, tourists of all sorts and ages. Located in the strip center in China Town off Spring Mountain/Wynn, wedged between pho eateries and Feng Shui stores. The decor is just fun, inside and out, it's like Tiki Bar on steroids. Music is loud and mood is festive. It's fun to get a table by the wall and people watch. Service is friendly and attentive and drinks are delicious. At $11/drink, this isn't a budget proposition, more of an occasional treat. I don't like anything too sweet and right now the exact names of cocktails I ordered escape me, but I think it was something with word "Three" in it, which was ok, but the Kokonut Sunrise was delicious, though it was a tequila drink, not rum. And yes, there's Dole Whip to be had. All in all, loved it, will be back and will bring and send others!
