Baseline Mechanical just earned a lifetime customer this weekend. Just got back in town Friday late night to find the A/C blowing warm air and was not happy. Made contact with Baseline that evening and got a call back first thing Saturday morning letting me know they could have someone out at 10 a.m. So right away I am impressed; quick call back, on a weekend with a same day appointment, AND in the morning!
Jay arrived on time and ready to go. (I know that sounds like a no brainer but I have had companies that show up on time, but then they were sitting in their vehicle either on the phone or filling out paperwork; probably from the previous job)
Jay started right away and had it diagnosed in minutes. He was straightforward and let me know it was a fairly common problem and would not be an overly complicated fix. Second time I am impressed - no upselling! I'm sure Jay could have convinced me of any number of expensive repairs but he took the time to explain the problem and let me know what needed to be done to fix it. After hearing all the horror stories from friends and neighbors of how expensive repairs could be, I prepped myself for the estimate....Gave me the estimate which sounded fair (maybe a little lower than expected?) based on what was being done so I gave him to ok to go. He was very professional and had everything needed for the repair on the truck. Once the unit was running I asked if he could check the Freon levels which turned out to be low. Jay added the Freon and from his 10a.m. arrival to cold air blowing again it was less than two hours!
