Now I know there's collusion between the warranty company AHS and their contractors. Michael from Athena told AHS that I had put excessive grease down my kitchen sink and therefore would not fix it. We've lived in this house for 20 years, I know this house. We do NOT eat a lot of greasy foods, nor do we pour grease down the kitchen drain. Now a week later we have a health hazard in the kitchen with open sewage that he snaked out into my kitchen. AHS believes the "licensed" contractor. Yet AHS wanted me to get a second opinion, with a company that get's worse reviews that APC: Just Plumbing Services! Look them up here on Yelp! JPS just had their membership revoked from the Better Business Bureau AND AHS wants to send these people to enter my house for a second opinion? Not ever, consider AHS fired. If you have AHS, I suggest you fire this company as fast as you can, they will take you for everything they can, they don't care about you; it just becomes a contractual argument that begs litigation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- July 6, 2016 Update AHS wanted to send Just Plumbing Services out to do a 2nd opinion, I got on Yelp! and looked them up, they have even worse ratings than Athena! So I got my Mom's plumber, DAVID SINGLETARY PLUMBING to come out today to get this second opinion from MY plumber. As I suspected, Moises ( a very upbeat, friendly person) applied the snake from the outside of the house and it was cleared up in 10 minutes. Moises said it was from normal use, not excessive or abusive use that Michael of Athena Plumbing had reported to AHS. If I had a competent plumber in the first place on June 28th, I would have been able to use my kitchen over the 4th of July weekend. I feel sorry for those out there having to depend on AHS, you will spend more money than if you had just saved your monthly AHS fee and find your own best contractors. The ones AHS uses are totally incompetent and contract-wary, not there to really help the consumer. I have fired AHS, however I may hire a lawyer to get my $75 back from the completely wasted appointment I had with Athena Plumbing and the $135 I paid to Singletary Plumbing, don't ever use Athena Plumbing for your plumbing needs. However, I do highly recommend DAVID SINGLETARY PLUMBING but I think they only serve the north valley.
