WOW! I passed this Venetian Restaurant up on several occasions, and what a mistake. We ventured from our room down to Bouchon for brunch, and I must admit we were really looking forward to it being it was a Thomas Keller establishment. We kept our expectations low; however. While browsing the menu, I came across the Chicken and Waffles and wondered what Bouchon's take on the classic dish would be. Trust me, I have had my share of chicken and waffles, and I am rarely disappointed because I get just that; chicken and waffles. After my moment of hesitation, I ordered it. My vision of "chicken and waffles" was about to become severely distorted as a result of this experience. The roasted chicken was cooked perfectly, and the waffle was just crispy and sweet enough. The vanilla bean sauce was just too much as I wanted more and more. The real star of the show for me was the savory roasted chicken gravy that came in a small gravy boat. If you find yourself at the Venetian, do yourself a favor and make time for Bouchon's Chicken and Waffles; you will not be disappointed.
