I'd have to agree with the prior posts...why all of the hate on this hotel? I travel constantly for work and always stay at Marriott properties when available and I'd have to say this Marriott is one of the nicest ones I've stayed at. First, I am a Platinum Elite member and there are many times at other Marriott properties I have to ask to be put on the concierge floor when this should be an automatic; didn't have to ask at the Madison Marriott West. The concierge lounge was spacious with ample seating, the front desk staff was welcoming, and parking was a breeze.
After my stay I received an email from the manager, even though it was an auto-generated email, it was a personally written email and provided his direct line if I had any concerns/questions.
As far as the noise issues, I didn't hear a thing and slept perfectly in a large king room.
